Who are we?

The London Financial is a collective of students and recent graduates who seek out the very best analysis from universities across the UK and the world.

Through a network of Editors, and our team of Marketers, we seek to bring the most capable student and graduate analysis to the forefront of contemporary debate, without the usual barriers to entry that prevent easy publication. Matthew is a Political Economy graduate from King’s College London who founded several financial research societies. He is passionate about enhancing student opportunity across in finance. He is currently working in FinTech and persuing the CFA designation.

William, a Queen Mary, University of London graduate in Politics and International Politics, is a dynamic professional passionate about British politics, foreign policy, and international relations. With recent roles as a Parliamentary Intern for an MP at the Houses of Parliament and an Intern at Bright Blue, a prestigious think-tank, William has actively contributed to policy-making and engaged in cutting-edge research. William has cultivated a robust professional circle by networking with high-profile politicians, including MPs and cabinet ministers. William's commitment to significantly impacting Public and Foreign Policies positions him as a rising influencer in British Politics.

Carina Schuster is a multilingual tech and science editor for The London Financial & a podcast anchor and producer for SciTech Suisse, covering groundbreaking stories in the matter of disruptive technology developments and interviewing top experts in AI, the Metaverse, Web3, Blockchain and scientific research. Throughout her experience as a journalist in the editorial and digital worlds, she was selected by CNN Money Switzerland in 2020 as a digital producer intern and has demonstrated a collaborative and creative spirit, working alongside talented journalists and delivering impactful stories with the main aim of simplifying the complexity of technology.

Having studied business starting in Essec Asia-Pacific, Barnabé has a sharp mind and loves solving problems and discussing current topics, especially geopolitical, economical and historical ones. After studying in Singapore, France, the UK and Sweden, he is now completing a traineeship in Mauritius in investment management at the biggest financial advisory firm in the world!
